In the calm serenity of the morning light, I bow in reverence to the truth of the Dhamma, the wisdom of the Buddha, and the fellowship of the Sangha. Awakening to the fragility of this body, I recognize its impermanence, just as a clay pot moulded and shaped, destined to crumble back to earth.
May I cultivate the strength of a well-fortified city within my mind, resilient amidst the tides of Mara's temptations. With mindfulness as my shield and wisdom as my sword, may I vanquish the armies of ignorance, delusion, and craving.
Boundless love and compassion, be my guiding light on this battlefield, illuminating the path to liberation. Let me be an island amidst the stormy ocean, a beacon of tranquility in the midst of chaos.
With every breath, may I deepen my understanding, cultivate my wisdom, and strengthen my resolve. May I guard the conquests of my mind, remaining unattached to praise or criticism, gain or loss, pleasure or pain.
As the sun ascends, so too does my commitment to the Eightfold Path. Mindful in each moment, may I live with the wisdom of knowing, the courage of doing, and the compassion of being.
And throughout the day, with every breath I take, may I repeat the mantra: "Fragile is my body, fortified is my mind. With wisdom, I remain unattached."
May this morning prayer serve as a reminder of my purpose, my path, and my potential. In the wisdom of the Dhammapada, may I find the strength to navigate the day ahead. With gratitude, I bow to the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha.
Buddham saranam gacchami, Dhammam saranam gacchami, Sangham saranam gacchami.
(Fragile is my body, fortified is my mind. With wisdom, I remain unattached.)
