Eternal and merciful God, as I rise to meet the promise of a new day, I am reminded of the profound teachings in Your Holy Scriptures. In the verse from Nahum 3:19, I am reminded of the grievous wounds that we bear, the wounds that seem beyond healing. I am reminded of the wickedness that has touched us all, the wickedness that continues to pass upon us.
As I stand before You, O God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, I seek Your divine guidance and healing. Teach me to strive for righteousness, to heal the wounds of wickedness within my own soul and to be a beacon of hope and healing for others.
Grant me the strength to resist the temptations of wickedness, the wisdom to seek the path of righteousness, and the courage to bear the burdens of my bruises. Let the echo of the Shofar awaken in me a renewed commitment to Your commandments, to the pursuit of justice, and to the love of my fellow beings.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, for You provide healing for our spirits and our bodies. You are the source of our strength and our refuge in times of trouble. As I set forth into this day, may I carry Your teachings in my heart and reflect them in my actions.
May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. Amen.
