Blessed are You, Adonai our God, King of the universe, who has granted us another day in Your world. In reverence, we acknowledge the prophecy of Joel, that "the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes."
We beseech You, O Lord, to guide us through the uncertainty of time, just as You guided our ancestors through the wilderness. Let us not be led astray by the shadows of forthcoming events but instead remain steadfast in our faith, in our devotion to righteousness, in our commitment to the Torah and its teachings.
Grant us strength, Adonai, to face the day with courage, and wisdom to discern right from wrong. May we walk in Your light, shining it upon those we encounter. Help us to embody the spirit of kindness, generosity, and justice, reflecting the values You have bestowed upon us as Jews.
Remind us, Lord, that even when the sun is darkened, even when the moon turns to blood, You are with us. May we find comfort in Your presence and trust in Your divine plan. Let us remember that even in times of tribulation, we are Your people, and You are our God.
In Your wisdom, O God, may we use this day to bring honor to Your name, to act in ways that are pleasing to You, and to live in harmony with all Your creation. May our actions today contribute to the coming of a world filled with peace and love.
Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu, Melech ha'olam, shehecheyanu, v'kiy'manu, v'higiyanu laz'man hazeh.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has kept us alive, sustained us, and enabled us to reach this moment.
Amen.
