In the tranquility of the morning dawn, I sit in silence, calling upon the wisdom of the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha.
Ever-present is the glory of the one who is energetic, mindful, and pure in conduct. May I embody these virtues in all my actions, thoughts, and words today.
May I cultivate discernment and self-control, seeing clearly the reality of impermanence, of suffering, and of the absence of a self. Let me not be swayed by the illusions of this world, but remain steadfast in the path of righteousness.
May I be heedful, remembering always the preciousness of this human birth and the urgency of the spiritual path. Let me not waste my time in idle pursuits, but seize each moment for the cultivation of wisdom and compassion.
As I rise from this seat of mindfulness, may I carry the lessons of the Dhammapada into my day. May I walk the Middle Way, balancing my worldly responsibilities with my spiritual aspirations.
May I strive to live in accordance with the Dhamma, radiating kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity to all beings I encounter.
With every breath, may I remember the Buddha's teachings, embodying them in my actions, my speech, and my thoughts.
In the ebb and flow of the day's challenges and triumphs, may I return again and again to the refuge of the Triple Gem - the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha.
As I end this morning prayer, I carry with me a mantra for the day:
"Mindful and pure, discerning and self-controlled, righteous and heedful, I am."
May this mantra serve as a constant reminder of my commitment to the path of the Buddha, turning every moment into an opportunity for spiritual growth and awakening.
With boundless loving-kindness, may I be at peace. With boundless compassion, may I alleviate suffering. With boundless joy, may I celebrate the happiness of others. With boundless equanimity, may I remain unshaken amidst the world's ups and downs.
So be it.
