"Awakening to Impermanence: A Prayer for Letting Go"

prayer(1210)

In the tranquil light of dawn, we awake,
Mindful of the sacred breath that sustains us,
Gently, we acknowledge the transient nature of all things.

With clarity, we see the truth in The Dhammapada's wisdom,
"He who has no attachment whatsoever for the mind and body,
Who does not grieve for what he has not —
He is truly called a monk."

Oh, Great Compassionate One, guide us to discernment,
Help us to let go of attachments to mind and body,
May we foster a mind that clings not to the fleeting,
But finds peace in the impermanent nature of all things.

We aspire to embody the spirit of the noble monk,
Who grieves not for what is not,
But finds joy in the simplicity of being.

May we understand that our mind and body are but vessels,
In the vast ocean of existence, we are but a droplet,
May we cultivate wisdom and compassion in every thought, word, and deed.

As the sun rises, so does our consciousness,
Guided by the teachings of the Buddha,
We strive to walk the Middle Path,
Free from attachment, in equanimity, we find our true selves.

In the silence of our hearts, we repeat,
"Anicca, Dukkha, Anatta" - Impermanence, Suffering, Non-self,
A mantra to guide us throughout the day,
A constant reminder of our transient nature and the path to liberation.

Anicca, Dukkha, Anatta,
Anicca, Dukkha, Anatta,
Anicca, Dukkha, Anatta.
