Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who has granted us another day to serve You and follow Your path. As I awaken this morning, I am reminded of the verse from Your Holy Scriptures, "And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now."
God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, I pray that You guide me away from the distractions and temptations of this world that pull me away from You. Strengthen my resolve, as You did with our forefathers, to return to the path of righteousness and faithfulness, to seek You with all my heart, soul and might, for truly, it is better with You than any worldly pleasure.
Lord, help me to appreciate and value the blessings You have bestowed upon me, to recognize that all that I have and all that I am, comes from Your divine grace. May I never stray from Your teachings, from the wisdom of Torah, and from the path of mitzvot.
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. May this day be filled with Your presence, Your guidance, and Your peace.
In Your mercy, Lord, hear my prayer. Amen.
