Heavenly Father, the Eternal One, as I awaken to the gift of a new day, I stand in awe of Your magnificence. I am reminded of Your words in the Book of Leviticus, "And he took the fat, and the rump, and all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right shoulder."
Just as the offerings of old were prepared with reverence and care, so I choose to prepare myself for this day. May my heart be as the fat, full and abundant in love and kindness. May my mind be as the rump, strong and determined, steadfast in my devotion to You. May my spirit be as the inwards, hidden, yet vital, the core of my being devoted to Your service.
May my daily actions honor You, as the caul above the liver, protecting and preserving my covenant with You. May I use the strength of my 'two kidneys' and their 'fat', symbolizing my courage and resilience, to face any challenges this day might bring. And may my 'right shoulder' carry the responsibilities You have entrusted me with, to care for myself, my family, and my community.
Help me, Adonai, to reflect the richness and depth of our Jewish tradition in all my interactions today. May the values of justice, compassion, and peace guide me, just as the priests were guided in their offerings.
May my life be an offering pleasing to You, Oh Lord, an expression of my gratitude for Your countless blessings. I pray that my words, thoughts, and deeds resonate with Your divine wisdom and love.
Bless this day, Lord, and guide me in Your ways, so that each moment is spent in service to You and to the world You have entrusted to us.
In Your holy name, I pray. Amen.
