Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the Universe, who has given us a new day, a fresh start, and the opportunity to serve You with all our heart.
We are reminded today, Holy One, of the words spoken to Moses, of the challenges and temptations our ancestors faced, and the covenant You made with them. We understand, merciful God, that our forefathers, in their moments of weakness, lost their way and sought other gods.
As we start this day, we pray for strength and wisdom to remain faithful to You, not seeking after the gods of strangers or the fleeting pleasures of this world. We ask that You guide us, so that we may not forsake You, nor break the covenant which You have made with us.
Help us, Lord, to learn from the past and to walk the path of righteousness. May we always remember that You are our God, and we are Your people, bound by a promise that transcends time and space.
Bless our efforts this day, O Lord, and help us to serve You with joy and sincerity. May we be a light to those around us, representing Jewish values and traditions in all our deeds.
In Your great mercy, grant us the strength to remain steadfast in our devotion to You, so that when we lie down to sleep, we do so with a clear conscience and a heart full of gratitude.
For this, and for all Your countless blessings, we give You thanks. In Your holy name we pray, Amen.
