Eternal Father, Our Provider and Protector,
Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who gives us life, sustains us, and brings forth everything we need. In the spirit of gratitude and humility, I come before You as I begin another day you've generously granted me.
As the sun rises, I am reminded of the verse from the book of Kings, "And the Avites made Nibhaz and Tartak, and the Sepharvites burnt their children in fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim." May it serve as a stark reminder of the perils of idolatry and misplaced faith.
Guide my thoughts and actions today, O God, so that I may not be swayed by the false gods of this world – wealth, power, and vanity. Instead, encourage me to seek solace and guidance in the Torah, which is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
Help me, O Lord, to uphold the virtues of compassion, justice, and peace; the pillars of Jewish values. May I remember our ancestors' struggles and sacrifices, and be inspired to live a righteous life that honors You and Your teachings.
May my actions today reflect Tikkun Olam, the Jewish principle of repairing the world. Let me be a beacon of Your love and truth in every interaction, every decision, and every task I undertake.
In Your mercy, grant me the strength to overcome challenges, the wisdom to make good choices, and the courage to stand up for what is right.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, for the privilege of another day, for the chance to make a difference, and for the promise of a world redeemed.
In your precious name, I pray. Amen.
