Blessed are You, Oh, HaShem, our God, King of the Universe, who grants us another day to serve You and follow Your commandments. As I rise this morning, I am mindful of Your words in the Book of Jeremiah, "For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire."
Grant me, Oh, Lord, the strength and wisdom to discern the path You have set for me, to navigate the challenges of this world as the people of Jerusalem faced the siege of Babylon. Let me not falter in my faith, nor turn my face away from You, even when the fire burns around me. Help me to bring light into this world, to counter the darkness, and to serve as a beacon of Your love and justice.
Teach me, Oh, God, to understand that just as You allowed the city to face adversity, You also carried them through it, and ultimately led them to redemption. Use me as an instrument of Your will, to bring about good in this world, even in the face of adversity, and to spread Your holy word.
May my actions today reflect the values You have bestowed upon me - justice, mercy, and humility. May my words and deeds be a testament to my faith in You and my commitment to the covenant You made with our forefathers.
Thank you, Oh, Lord, for Your enduring love and faithfulness. As I commence my day, I pray that my works honor You and bring glory to Your name. Amen.
