In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
Ya Allah, Master of the Day of Judgment, I stand before You in humble submission, acknowledging Your power and sovereignty. I contemplate upon the verse from Your divine book, Surah Al-Haqqah, verse 16, which says "and the sky will be split open - for it will be frail that day."
Ya Rahman, You who have the power to split the skies, grant me strength and resilience to face the trials of my daily life. Just as the sky will be frail on that day, remind me of the frailty of this worldly life and help me to strive for what is everlasting.
Ya Malik, imbue in me the seriousness of that Day when the sky will be split open. Help me to live each day with the awareness of that Day, to prepare for it with good deeds, with kindness to Your creations, with sincerity in my prayers and humility in my actions.
Ya Ghaffar, forgive me for my shortcomings and guide me on the straight path. As the sky splits open on that Day, may You open the doors of Your mercy for me and for all believers.
Ya Kareem, bless me with Your bounties, with health, with sustenance, with love, and with peace. Make each day a means for me to come closer to You, to serve You better, and to fulfil the purpose of my creation.
Ya Allah, as I look up at the sky, remind me of Your greatness. Let the vastness of the sky inspire me to be generous in my thoughts, in my words and in my actions. As I witness the changing hues of the sky, let it be a reminder of the constant change in life and the certainty of Your decree.
Oh Allah, I pray that when the sky splits open, I am under Your shade of mercy, with my book in my right hand, walking towards Your eternal paradise.
In You, I put my trust and to You, I return.
Amin.
