In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Oh, the Most Merciful and the Most Kind, I seek refuge in You from the whisperings of my own soul, and from the evil outcomes of my own deeds. Guide my heart towards Your light and keep my steps firm on Your path.
The Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, You who seized Pharaoh and his hosts, and cast them into the sea for their wrongdoings as recollected in the 40th verse of the 28th chapter of the Holy Quran. I plead to You, my Lord, to guide me and guard me from the path of those who oppress, from the path of those who were unjust to themselves and others.
Help me to remember Your mercy is greater than Your wrath and that You do not wish hardship upon Your creations. Make me among those who learn from the stories of the past, from the fate of the wrongdoers, so that I may not repeat their mistakes.
Oh, the Just and the Fair, help me to uphold justice in my life, to be fair in my dealings, and to stand against oppression in all its forms. Keep me steadfast in truth and honesty, and let me be amongst those who promote peace and equality.
Oh, the Guide, show me the straight path, the path of those who have received Your grace; not the path of those who have brought down wrath upon themselves, nor of those who have gone astray.
Oh, the Most Forgiving, pardon my mistakes, forgive my sins, and cleanse my heart from the stains of transgressions. Guide me to be better, to do better, and to serve Your creation in the best possible way.
In the end, we return to You, the Most High. Shower upon us Your mercy, and do not leave us to ourselves, for we are in dire need of Your guidance and protection.
Amin.
