In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
Oh Allah, Lord of all worlds, The Most Compassionate, The Most Merciful, we come to you seeking your divine guidance. We are weak and fallible, and we often err in our choices and decisions.
Remind us, oh Allah, of the lesson from Surah Al-Furqan, verse 28, "Woe to me! I wish I had not taken so and so as a friend!" Let this verse serve as a constant reminder to us to choose our companions wisely, those who will guide us towards righteousness and your divine pleasure.
Oh Allah, guide our hearts to be drawn towards those who remind us of you, who inspire us to be better, who encourage us towards good deeds and discourage us from evil. Save us, oh Allah, from the regret of choosing unwisely, of aligning ourselves with those who lead us astray from your straight path.
Grant us the wisdom, oh Allah, to discern the good from the bad, the righteous from the unrighteous. Help us to be cautious in our friendships and alliances. Let not the allure of this worldly life blind us to the consequences of our choices.
Oh Allah, we seek your forgiveness for our past mistakes, and we ask for your guidance in our future. Help us to make choices that will lead us closer to you, and farther from the regret expressed in Surah Al-Furqan, verse 28.
Indeed, you are the All-Knowing, All-Wise, and we submit to your divine wisdom and judgement.
Amin.
