In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

O Merciful and Compassionate One, my Lord, who has revealed the Holy Quran as a source of guidance and enlightenment, I turn to You in humble submission. I am reminded of Your holy verse in the eighth chapter, verse number two, "The faithful are only those whose hearts tremble [with awe] when Allah is mentioned, and when His signs are recited to them, they increase their faith, and who put their trust in their Lord."

I seek to be among those faithful You described, O Allah. When Your name is mentioned, let my heart tremble with awe and reverence. As I recite and listen to Your signs, let them increase my faith, let them engrave deeper into my heart the truth of Your existence, and the beauty of Your wisdom.

Guide me, O Allah, to put my trust in You in all matters, in times of ease and hardship, in confusion and clarity, in joy and sorrow. Help me to surrender my affairs to You, knowing that You are the best of planners.

Instill in me the strength to obey Your commands, the patience to endure tests, and the wisdom to understand Your signs. Make my faith firm, my heart humble, and my actions pleasing to You.

O Allah, I ask for Your forgiveness for my shortcomings and for Your mercy on the Day of Judgment. Keep me on the straight path and grant me a good end.

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no deity but You. To You, I submit, and in You, I put my trust.
