Divine Creator, Paramatma, the Supreme Soul,
As I embark upon the journey of this new day, I seek your blessings to imbue me with the virtue of true renunciation, as elucidated in the sacred Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 18, Verse 10.
Let me not shirk from the disagreeable work, nor let me chase agreeable work. Grant me the wisdom to understand that all work is divine, for it is through work that we serve you, the divine in all things.
Instill in me the tranquility of the mode of goodness, so I may undertake all tasks, pleasant or unpleasant, with equanimity and serenity. Let me not be swayed by the dualities of the world, nor be clouded by doubts.
I pray to you, O Divine, help me to perform my duties without attachment or aversion, seeing all work as an offering to you. Help me to understand that work is worship and through it we attain the highest.
May I not seek rewards or shun responsibilities, but let me do all my duties with a heart full of devotion, and a mind full of clarity.
Guide me, O Lord, to live according to your teachings, to walk the path of Dharma, to act without selfishness or pride, to serve others with love and compassion.
As I close this prayer, I carry with me the mantra:
"Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya"
I am a devotee of Lord Vasudeva, the presiding deity of the earth. May this mantra resonate within me throughout the day, reminding me of my duties and the true nature of work.
Shanti, Shanti, Shanti,
Peace, Peace, Peace.
