Heavenly Father,

I humbly come before You this morning, in gratitude for the gift of a new day. I thank You for Your enduring love, Your divine grace, and Your unending mercies that are new every morning.

Lord, as I set forth to start my day, I meditate on Your holy word in Jeremiah 50:18, "Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria." This verse reminds me, Father, of Your justness and righteousness, that You are a God who brings justice and order.

I pray, Almighty God, that You guide me in my actions and decisions today, that I may walk in Your righteousness. Let Your truth be my shield and buckler, protecting me from the deceptions of this world. Just as You judged the kings of Babylon and Assyria, I pray that You lead me away from paths of corruption, wickedness, and unrighteousness.

Teach me to be fair and just in my dealings with others, reflecting Your holy nature in all my interactions. May I stand firm in my faith, uphold Your commandments, and shine Your light in the darkness, that others may see Your work in me, and glorify Your name.

I pray that You will also bring justice and peace to our troubled world, and to those suffering from oppression, violence, and injustice. May Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

Thank You, Lord, for Your divine protection and guidance. I commit this day into Your hands, trusting that under Your mighty hand I am safe.
