In the serenity of the morning light, we gather our hearts and minds,
Awakening to the wisdom of the Dhammapada, Chapter 19, Verse 257.
We aspire to embody the sagacious, the just, the guardian of truth.
Oh Great Compassionate Buddha, guide us on the path of non-judgment,
Let us not judge arbitrarily, but with impartiality and understanding,
Grant us the insight to see the truth, and the courage to uphold it.
May we cultivate compassion, patience, and wisdom in our hearts,
To treat all sentient beings with equanimity and respect,
May we become guardians of the law, upholding justice and righteousness.
As the sun rises, illuminating the world with its radiant light,
May our actions reflect the light of wisdom, compassion and fairness,
Help us to walk in the footsteps of the Buddha, to live in accordance with Dharma.
With every breath we take, every word we utter, every action we perform,
May we remember the wisdom of this verse, the calling to be just,
Under your divine guidance, Buddha, may we become the embodiment of impartial judgment.
In the silence of our hearts, we recite this humble prayer,
May it echo throughout our day, reminding us of our aspiration,
To live in harmony with all, to be a beacon of justice and truth.
As we conclude this morning's prayer, we seal it with a mantra,
"Om Dharma Guardian, grant me wisdom and justice, with compassion I stand."
May we carry this mantra in our hearts, repeating it throughout the day,
A constant reminder of our commitment to fairness, to truth, to Dharma.
Om Dharma Guardian, grant me wisdom and justice, with compassion I stand.
