In the serene calm of the morning light, I awaken my heart to the path of the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha. I touch the silence within, like a broken gong, free from noise, free from agitation.
With reverence, I recite this prayer, inspired by the wisdom of the Dhammapada, chapter 10, verse 134:
In the stillness of my heart, I am like a broken gong,
Unmoved by the winds of anger, vindictiveness, and strife.
In the silence, I find my peace, my refuge, my home,
In the heart of Nibbana, far from the clamor of life.
I am the silent gong, broken yet whole,
Free from the bonds of hatred, untouched by the fires of ill-will.
Like a lotus blossoming in the mud, I rise above,
In the silence, I find my liberation, my freedom, my will.
In this silence, I cultivate compassion, understanding, and love,
Understanding the impermanence of all things, I release my grasp.
In every breath, in every step, I am here, I am now,
In the silence, I find my true nature, my true path.
Oh, great Buddha, guide me in my journey, light my way,
May I embody your teachings, in thought, word, and deed.
In this silence, may I find my strength, my courage, my peace,
In the silence, I am free, in the silence, I am freed.
And as I journey through the day, with heart serene and open,
May I remember this mantra, this truth that the Buddha has spoken:
"I am the Silent Gong, in stillness, I am free,
In the heart of Nibbana, I find my true identity."
"I am the Silent Gong, in stillness, I am free"
May this mantra guide me, may this mantra be my key.
