Awakening with the dawn, my heart is filled with gratitude,
Mindful of the teachings that guide my attitude.
A victor am I, over desires and delusions all,
Yet in this victory, no pride, no arrogance befall.
In the silence of the morning, I bow to the unseen,
For all is conquered, all is known, yet to none am I keen.
In the abandonment of worldly cravings, I find my true delight,
Freed from the chains of desire, my spirit takes flight.
Through self-realization and wisdom, each moment I uncover,
Who, then, shall I call my teacher, who, then, my lover?
In the teachings of Buddha, I find my path and way,
In the Dhamma's light, I begin another day.
As I step into the world, may I be a beacon of peace,
May my actions reflect compassion, may my worries cease.
In every breath, every moment, may I remain aware,
Of the impermanence of life, of each joy, each despair.
With mindfulness and metta, may I walk the earth,
To spread the Dhamma's wisdom, to inspire rebirth.
May I be a vessel of Buddha's infinite grace,
As I navigate through life, in this human race.
Through the day, let me remember this gentle phrase,
"To conquer and to know, yet not to bind or praise."
May this mantra guide me, in what I say and do,
"Abandon all, be free, to your inner self be true."
In the spirit of Sangha, in the Buddha's profound teaching,
In the truth of Dhamma, I find a new meaning.
With this prayer, I greet the morn, with a heart that's light and free,
"Abandon all, be free, to your inner self be true" - shall be my mantra through eternity.
