In the stillness of the morning, as the day is yet unformed, I humbly bow my head and bring my spirit to the guidance of the Dhamma.
I am a vessel of teachings, a beacon of wisdom, and a mirror of truth. As I impart knowledge unto others, may I strive to embody the wisdom I share. The Dharma is not just spoken, but lived, manifesting in each thought, word, and deed.
Just as the lotus rises pure and unstained from the mud, so too may I rise above my imperfections, my ignorance, my ego. In the face of challenges, may I remember the teachings of the Buddha.
As the Buddha teaches in the Dhammapada, "One should do what one teaches others to do; if one would train others, one should be well controlled oneself. Difficult, indeed, is self-control."
May I remember this truth as I navigate the trials of today. Let me be an example of patience, of understanding, of compassion. Let me not preach, but practice. Let my actions resonate louder than my words.
In my quest for self-control, may I not succumb to harsh self-judgment. Self-control is not a battle to be won, but a path to be walked, a journey to be undertaken with kindness and understanding towards myself.
May the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha guide me. May I find the strength to be the master of my own mind, to live the Dharma in every moment, and to be the change I wish to see in the world.
For in self-mastery, I find peace. In peace, I find liberation. In liberation, I find Nirvana.
As I rise from this prayer, I carry with me this mantra: "Be the Dhamma." May it be my compass, my anchor, my guiding light.
Be the Dhamma, in thought, word, and deed. Be the Dhamma, in compassion, wisdom, and self-control. Be the Dhamma, in the morning, in the day, and in the night.
Be the Dhamma. Be the Dhamma. Be the Dhamma.
