In the gentle light of the morning sun, we gather our hearts, we gather our minds, aligning with the teachings of the Enlightened One.
In the presence of fear, we are tempted to seek refuge, in the hills, the woods, the groves, the trees, and shrines. A superficial solace, an illusionary hide, let us remember the words of the Buddha, our light and guide.
Let us not be driven by fear, nor let it govern our actions and thought. Let us seek a refuge deeper and more profound, in the wisdom of the Dhamma that the Buddha has taught.
In the knowledge of the Four Noble Truths, the reality of suffering, its cause, cessation, and the path leading to its end. Let us find our refuge, let these teachings be our best friend.
In the practice of the Noble Eightfold Path, right view, intention, speech, action, livelihood, effort, mindfulness, and concentration, let us find our refuge, let them be our inspiration.
May we transform our fear into compassion, our ignorance into wisdom, our hatred into love. May we be a refuge for ourselves and others, as the Buddha taught from above.
As the sun continues its journey across the sky, let us remember, let us not forget. Fear is but a cloud that passes by, in the vast sky of awareness, where sun and cloud meet.
In the silence of the morning, in the stillness of the dawn, we honor the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha - our refuge, our truth, our song.
May this day be filled with mindfulness, may our actions reflect our intent. May the teachings of the Buddha guide us, in every step, in every moment spent.
And as we go forth, let this mantra resonate, a beacon of light, a source of strength. "Driven not by fear, but by wisdom and compassion, to the Buddha, the Dhamma, the Sangha, I go for refuge again and again."
So let it be, as we align with the Dhammapada, chapter 14 verse 188. "Driven not by fear, but by wisdom and compassion, to the Buddha, the Dhamma, the Sangha, I go for refuge again and again."
