May the dawn light guide my path,
Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha, I bow before thee.
In your enlightenment, I seek my path,
In your teachings, I find wisdom,
In your community, I find strength.
The worldly possessions I may offer,
All the gifts and oblations seeking merit,
For a whole year, they hold but little worth,
Compared to the reverence I hold for the Upright Ones.
In your footsteps, I tread, O Enlightened Ones,
In your teachings, I find the path to liberation,
In your virtues, I find the mirror of my conduct,
In your wisdom, I find the light in my darkness.
As the sun rises, I bow before thee,
My heart filled with gratitude and humility,
May I be guided by your wisdom,
May I be protected by your compassion.
The merit of revering the Upright Ones,
Surpasses all offerings, all worldly gifts,
In this truth, I find the essence of Dhamma,
In this truth, I find the path to Nirvana.
With the dawn, I set my intention,
To live in reverence, to embody the Dhamma,
To walk the path of mindfulness and compassion,
To illuminate the world with your teachings.
May I never stray from the Buddha's path,
May the Dhamma be my guiding light,
May the Sangha be my refuge and strength,
In this life and all lives to come.
Mantra for the day:
"Buddham Saranam Gacchami, Dhammam Saranam Gacchami, Sangham Saranam Gacchami"
(I go to the Buddha for refuge, I go to the Dhamma for refuge, I go to the Sangha for refuge)
