In the gentle glow of the morning light, I stand humbly in your presence, O Great Compassionate One. With the awakening of a new day, I awaken my heart and mind to the teachings of the Dhamma.
With every breath, may I embody virtue and insight, walking the path you have illuminated with your wisdom. Let me be principled, rooted firmly in the soil of truth and righteousness, that I might stand tall amidst the winds of worldly desires and delusions.
As the sun rises, may I rise above ignorance, realizing the truth in the core of my being. With clarity of vision, may I discern the noble from the ignoble, the wholesome from the unwholesome, the beneficial from the harmful.
In all that I do, may I do what ought to be done, not just what is convenient or pleasing. Like the lotus flower, may I live untainted by the mud of greed, hatred and delusion, blossoming in the pure light of wisdom and compassion.
May my actions, words and thoughts be in harmony with your teachings, O Blessed One. May I strive not to be loved, but to be worthy of love, not to be admired, but to be worthy of admiration, embodying the Dhamma in all that I am.
As I go about my day, may I remember these teachings, holding them close to my heart, letting them guide me on the path to liberation.
May all beings be free from suffering. May all beings find peace. May all beings awaken to the truth.
Quick Mantra:
"Breathe in virtue and insight, breathe out compassion and truth."
