In the light of the new dawn, I humbly sit in the sacred silence, seeking the wisdom of the Dhammapada. I breathe in tranquility, I breathe out the dust of yesterday's passions.
With the verse from the Nirayavagga, Chapter 22, Verse 313 as my guide, I seek to cultivate sustained vigor in my actions and thoughts. I understand that a lax life only stirs up the dust of passions, and I strive to live with mindfulness, dedication, and purpose.
Blessed Buddha, guide me to live each moment with unwavering commitment. Let me not fall into the trap of carelessness or become a prisoner of my passions. Teach me to invest my energy in deeds that are wholesome and beneficial, to myself and to all sentient beings.
May I be like the river that flows with vigor, carving its path with determination, not stirred by the dust but by the force of its own purpose. Let me find the strength to persevere, the wisdom to choose my battles wisely, and the courage to face challenges with a calm and compassionate heart.
As I embark on the journey of this day, may I remember the essence of this verse: "If anything is to be done, let one do it with sustained vigor. A lax monastic life stirs up the dust of passions all the more."
I will carry this wisdom in my heart, let it guide my actions, and inspire me to live each moment with mindfulness and dedication.
In the name of all that is holy and compassionate, I bow to the teachings of the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha.
And as a mantra to guide me through the day, I will silently repeat: "With vigor, not dust. With vigor, not dust."
May all beings find peace and liberation in the Dhamma.
